Gulf County

This client wanted a website refresh that spoke to their natural and easy-going personality and location.

The process involved gathering the clients google analytics information to create the Information Architecture and SEO strategy,
gather information regarding their key target audience, the client's KPIs, and the client's design preferences.

All of this information helped establish a strategy to develop their personas, the wireframes, and website's design.

Wireframe Strategy

The client had a number of key performance indicators they wanted to target with their new website re-design. I took these KPI's along with the data collected from their google analytics and SEO findings to develop a wireframe structure suited for their destination.

  • Example of Gulf County's KPIs:
  • • Member/Partner Referrals - #1 goal
  • • Blog - helps visitors discover stories to better entice them to stay
  • • Important to track ads and make them look more natural

Desktop and Mobile Prototypes

Prototypes are developed with the client's end goal always in mind. Due to how the CMS works, client's have full capability of moving modules around, swapping out content to their liking after launch, and being able to control which modules to showcase on the website and which to hide. As the UX Designer and Web Designer, it's important to better accommodate for the client's future goals and future content when developing the prototypes.

As the UX Designer, I developed the prototypes using color-theory for CTA's, designed with proper accessibility standards, and with Gestalt Principles always in mind.

"Desktop prototypes are developed and designed with the clients' end-goal always in mind."

Make Ads Seamless

One of the client's top KPIs was to make the ads seamless within the rest of the site's design. This module was also designed so that the client could replace any ad content with featured blog content or any other destination highlight they wanted to promote.

Mobile prototypes are developed and designed to scale appropriately to fit screen sizes from tablets to smaller devices.
